EP154: Fishbone “Truth & Soul”

Fishbone’s eclectic mix of Funk, Punk, Ska and Metal hit its commercial peak with 1988’s Truth & Soul.  Not as gritty or chaotic as previous releases but unmistakably Fishbone.  Their music could only be made by them, six African American guys from LA wearing their hearts on their sleeves and on T&S deciding to express their social consciousness and the Black experience on record.  It’s a complicated party music and a fun conversation.
