The Murder City Devils aren’t the most famous Seattle band to ever sign to Sub-Pop records and have significantly more in common with the sounds of Detroit, a city often associated with their moniker and specifically the Stooges and the MC5. When they emerged in the late nineties they were peddling a sound that harkened back to a bygone day and it’s aged beautifully. We discuss their second album on this episode but it won’t be the last to feature these badasses.
