They played like a hard rock band and dressed like a psychedelic-goths and Love was their apex.  Along with 1984’s Dreamtime this was the band at the peak of it’s powers combining Billy Duffy’s big guitars and Ian Ashbury’s souring voice with a polished production, a gothic sensibility and American Indian iconography.  They would become massive international superstars on their next release (the Rick Ruben produced Electric) but were never better than on their sophomore release..
