Public Enemy’s second album is a masterpiece in every sense of the word.  It was a commercial success, critically acclaimed and influenced everyone from The Beastie Boys to The Wu-Tang Clan and Rage Against the Machine.  With the perfect paring of Chuck D’s deep baritone and highly politicized lyrics and Flavor Flav’s court jester levity they changed the game forever.  However, as with anything that represents such a definitive document of it’s time it runs the risk of aging poorly and sounding dated.  Does It Takes A Nation of Millions… fall victim to this some thirty years later?  We dig deep into it’s sixteen tracks and dissect each beat and every lyric to decide.
