Although it’s their third record, The Uplift Mofo Party plan is the only Chili Peppers record to feature the band’s original line-up and it’s arguably their funk/punk high water mark before they dove headlong into arena rock and power ballads. Mike and Rod bonded over it and their stellar live shows back when it first came out in 1987 but haven’t spent too much time with it since. Does it still hold up?
